Mission Mountain Winery

Mission Mountain Winery opens for their 23^st season on Saturday May 5^th 10 am to 5 pm with the annual event Red Wine and Chocolate. This is a chance for visitors to learn about the food and wine pairings of various chocolate delights and their corresponding red wines. This free event is a part of the winery’s continuing program to educate the community about the pleasurable synergies created by the pairing of food and wine. A chocolate fountain will be introduced at this event as an added treat.

While bottling at the winery we noticed a Blue Heron occuping a pole top nesting place usually used by Osprey overlooking our irrigation pond next to the winery. We invite birders to confirm this as it seems out of the ordinary to us.  And no this is not an April Fools joke.
