Osprey getting ready to leave the nest.

This year's brood of three young Osprey are testing their wings and will soon be practicing their airborne and fishing skills. The trio are almost as big as mom. The parents are are working day and night to keep the ravenous raptors fed. This is the third year this couple have had a brood of three which is an indication that the fishing is pretty good at the mouth of Dayton Creek. So come see us and our feathered friends at Mission Mountain Winery where you can sample gold medal wine and watch the aerial antics.
